Cyclone II PCI Express Development Kit

General Description

The Cyclone™ II EP2C35 PCI Express Development Board provides a hardware platform for developing and prototyping PCI Express, double data rate 2 (DDR2) SDRAM, and the 10/100/1000 Ethernet interface. Based on Cyclone™ II FPGAs and using Altera® MegaCore® functions or your own IP. Cyclone II EP2C35 PCI Express Development Board allows users to quickly solve design problems that typically require time-consuming and custom solutions.

The board supports the EP2C35F672 Cyclone II device from Altera Corporation.

The board meets the following requirements:

	PCI ExpressTM Base Specification Revision 1.0a

Components

The board provides the following components:

TI’s XIO1100 PCI Express PHY.

Altera's EP2C35F672C6 Cyclone II FPGA. Board is also compatible with Altera's EP2C70F672C6 FPGA.

Standard height, half length card PCI Express form factor

Two 32-MByte DDR2 SDRAM devices for a total of 64 Mbytes of Memory

Two Altera's EPCS64 serial FLASH Memory Devices for FPGA Configuration
